Community Science Communications

Leadership

Leadership That's Done the Work

CSC's leadership pairs two backgrounds that rarely share a room: global brand marketing for companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Red Bull, and Oracle, and hands-on development of utility-scale energy and technology projects. Behind them sits a network of subject matter experts spanning fire safety, engineering, farming, and technology.

Jon Anselmo, CEO

Jon Anselmo

CEO

Jon spent nearly twenty years building campaigns for Microsoft, Samsung, Red Bull, and Oracle before noticing something: the companies reshaping America’s energy landscape were getting a fraction of that marketing firepower. He founded Community Science Communications to close the gap.

What that looks like in practice: big-agency strategy and craft, rebuilt around county boards, township halls, and the communities that decide whether projects get built.

Chief Operating Officer

Jonathan came up through politics and public affairs, then spent fifteen-plus years developing and permitting renewable energy projects. He also leads Recall Strategies, Community Science Communications’ sister company and the leading public affairs firm for renewable energy development in the U.S.

That combination means CSC’s strategies are never theoretical. They’re shaped by someone who has carried large-scale projects through state and local politics and knows what actually moves a board.

EVP Accounts

Andy has permitted utility-scale renewable projects across the Midwest and West, building coalitions among landowners, officials, and community groups that don’t usually agree on much. He’s also active in local government himself.

So when he preps a client for a county hearing, the advice comes from someone who knows how the room thinks, because he’s sat in it.

AJ came to communications through the development side: wind, solar, and storage projects, with deep runs through permitting, stakeholder engagement, and brand protection, plus a background in political campaigns and government operations.

Based in Fairfax, Virginia, he pairs national experience with regional insight, and his legal training (JD, Marquette University Law School) gives clients an edge whenever the fight turns procedural.
